Visa Grant Delay 189

Hey!!! I recently resigned and updated my documents like exp letter and reference letter from last employer. Any impact on my visa application? I lodged my application on March 31 2019… Kindly comment… BTW my last working day was 04-Oct-2019!!!

I have updated my application with Form 1022 as well.

I am a secondary school teacher doing term to term jobs. I have changed maybe 3 different schools to teach since the visa lodgement… It is clearly same skill set but anyone think I should update the job history???)

It seems phone calls to DIBP ends up with generic advice. Wondering if anyone has used the FOI Act to request case notes for their application? Would this be worthwhile or would it annoy the CO more?

Its not required in case of job change scenario now. Exp letters are sufficient!!!

Relationship letters, joint lease if you have, utility bills addressed to both, travel or trips together, photographs if you can

Something similar to the following might be happening in Aus

https://www.rnz.co.nz/news/national/404284/immigration-new-zealand-accused-of-slowing-down-applications.

No one can complain that the 190 visa stream is being delayed. Using MyImmiTracker data, on 1 October 2019, only about 8% of 2019 applicants had received grants. Fast forward to today and almost 50% of all 2019 applicants had received grants.

One of my friend received grant today for 190…he lodged application on 22nd of June 2019 for 261313. I lodged my application for 189 on 28th of march 2019 for the same cofe. I am still waiting. Y this is happening with 189 applicants. Should i expect grant in this year of 2019?

Anybody called DHA recently?

Hi Guys, Could you please advise me on the following. I have applied my 189 visa onshore. At that time my wife was offshore and did not have any visa. But we applied together. I got the bridging visa but she didnt. Now she is here with me in Australia on a visitor visa, but it is going to expire soon. Is there anyway that she could apply for a 189 bridging visa?

i dont think that going to happen,

i lodged on march 10 no CO contact nothing.

i called 2 weeks ago same generic answer

Expect the result atleast after a year of lodgement, processing time won’t change.

I had same situation, when contacted DHA, they had advised me to raise bridging VISA for dependent explicitly (Form 1005 - which is complicated though). There is a option in you immi account as well for the same. I would advise to approach MARA just to advice to how to apply (whether from immi account or Form 1005) and get the estimate of processing time for Bridging Visa. I haven’t applied for this though as my dependent visa has time till next year.

Someone with lodgement date of 11th oct 2019 also got the grant in 190…what more someone can wish… complete nonsense this is…

Thanks for the advice mate!!! Will that affect my processing time of 189 visa?
