I m correcting here that aftr 174 days…CO contacted the applicant actually.
The wait is really killing me. I am in 7th month of waiting. No CO contact till now and no grant.
Does anyone have any idea why the number of visa grants has slowed to virtually none? When will it pick up again?!!! 6 months and no contact at all.
Hi Charlotte, when did you lodge your application?
I feel your pain. Same here. Going to be 7 months next week. A watched pot never boils, but I can’t help myself I just keep checking my emai like crazy
Hi,
You lodged under which occupation? Mine is family case, not sure if it affects the processing time.
I’m a social worker and a sole applicant. I’m trying to chill at the moment (which is obviously really hard) and wait for another month, but once it hits the 8 months mark I will lodge a complaint. If you have a look at the 2017 statistics it had a similar situation - very few grants in August and then a huge spike in September. So I’m hoping that the situation will change soon and we all get our visas we are waiting for
3rd March and I gave all documents. Just got to be patient
I applied for ICT Security Specialist (75pts, 10yrs exp) in NOVEMBER `18. Medicals done. Paid. All docs attached, even form80. Medicals and police clearances are about to turn 1yr old very soon… Formal complaint lodged via website 2 weeks ago, feedback received that the department “can advise that your application remains under assessment”. Same feedback from call center. Patiently waiting…
Wow! An application from November and still going? That’s sad! But did the CO contacted you for something or all this time you’ve been waiting you didn’t have any interaction?
That’s really a long time. Hang in there!
CO still not allocated. Received Immi Assessment Commenced email in Feb. Nothing since.
So you’ve applied in February, not in November. The date starts to count in the day that you pay for the visa, not when you are invited to apply. So, you are in the same situation as the most of people here, and as it’s not being more than 8 months that you’ve applied, you can’t really open a ticket to DOHA saying that they are late.
Hi Daniel_Horta. No, that is not correct. I lodged and paid in November. Status =“Received” since November. “Immi Assessment Commence” is a letter sent to very few applicants and does not mean that a CO has been allocated - feel free to search this forum. I have indeed been waiting since LODGING on 7 November without a CO having been allocated.
How do you know if a case officer has been allocated? I applied early March and have heard nothing. Account says ‘received’
New visa processing waiting times
190: 9-13 months 189: 8-9 months
Yes true… Its now changed to 8-9 months.
Oh Gosh! I have lodged on Feb 28 and after 26th FEB lodgement dates most of them have got no response yet. Now its increased to 8-9 months.
I have applied on 25 mar.
I have to wait for 2020 it seems
