Visa Grant Delay 189

no co contact since 21 months. they wont issue us grant until they open their border.

Hello Guys,

Have been a silent spectator for a few months now, but decided to spare a moment to share the anxiety (if it helps at all  ). Glad to see that the applications are being moved / processed, bringing hope to so many of us. I really hope that all of you who’ve been waiting (just like me) for their grants for months now, will receive it soon!

Below are the details of my application: Code: 261313 Location: Onshore (Till date) Applicants: Me and my husband (Onshore as well) Lodged: 01-Aug-2019 First CO contact for re-submission of NPC & Medicals: 25-Feb-2021 All details updated by: 11-Mar-2021 Grant: Still waiting!!

Good luck to everyone in the queue and congratulations those who’ve already received their grants!

today in Aus news, i heard that final recommendations of migration committee have comes out in which they strongly recommend the a portion of quarantine places should be available for skilled visas holder in order to overhaul migration. I think if it happened then definitely there would be advantage for us.

H.Singhkamboj. Can you please provide a link. I am only aware of the interim report that was released last month. I was under the impression that the final document will only be released in June

PCC is not required to be renewed if you are onshore through the period.

If you are doubtful that CO may ask for AFP, better to apply and upload. Since it wont cost much.

I feel, your grant is 8-10 days away maximum.

Hi Guys, My CO asked me to redo medical last month on 4th March, which I did on 8th March. So far I haven’t heard anything back from them. Its already been 13 months that my application has been lodged, do you guys think that I should contact immigration department ?

Based on what I have heard and read over here, contacting department will yield you a generic response. You can give a try if you’d like to. There are people in this forum who are waiting for more than 24 months.

I’ve been waiting for 21 months with no co-contact. Lodged in July 2019. Offshore. 261313.

Bro I can really feel for you but the problem is majority of the applicant, whose applications are 15-28 months old, are offshore. I am an onshore applicant and story is different for onshore people.

That really doesn’t help @Mnoman
 We’ve tried that too
We’re nearing 21 months of lodgement and when we contacted the dept a couple of weeks ago to enquire because the waiting period showed 13 months, they said that it’s a mistake and that the waiting period is still 24 - 28 months
What more can you argue on a response like that ? :frowning: Waiting is our only option unfortunately!!

Hi Guys, can’t wait to share with you, after nearly 25 months ( lodged on 29th March 2019) we finally receive CO contact for redo AFP and medicals several minutes ago. Hope we can receive grant soon after complete this. occupation for primary applicant is 232111, and second is accountant.

@liz520 - do you mind sharing what documents did you upload for your employment points in first place? And what additional documents did your CO ask for regarding your employment?

Appreciate in advance!

Hi, we uploaded employee agreement, payslips, bank statement which receives payroll, tax receipts from My Gov, and superannuation document. They asked payslips and bank statement again in the first CO which we don’t understand the reason but we uploaded again.

Hi everyone I am very happy to say this I got my grant yesterday evening. Lodged date Feb 6 2019 First Case Officer contact May 6 2019, Second one Sep1 2020 Final grant 13-4-2021 I wish goodluck to every one who are waiting for their grants
