Visa Grant Delay 189

Hi there, nearly sitting on the same timeline and applied offshore. I think the offshore grants are going to be a function of when the Int. borders are opened and when DHA has a good plan to mitigate the risk of Covid cases influx due to the inflow of migrants (inc. students, travelers). They are going conservative on this so far when other countries like Canada have been inviting offshore folks - but they have now pressure to revive economy and meet the skill demand for which they have to open the gates sooner or later - I’m hoping they’ll come up with a plan by Q3. Do plan to get vaccinated if you get a chance though. Stay put and hope for the best - don’t have any other choice though

Things will change from July
hang in there offshore guys

Not really, Its gonna be worst after Jul 2021

Lets see

They are waiting for global vaccine certificates authentication system. Means every country putting certificates on a trusted system and share it with Australia. This gonna take ages.

I have a question: i am not doing any job from the last one year (from the day of i got my visa invite). However, i did not claim any point for any employment and my visa invitation also not have any relation to the employment. Kindly tell me is there any effect of not doing any job on my visa grant or the process of visa??

To be honest no one is going to make fun of you. I have heard from a friend that Immigration has access to ATO. If you are not earning anything then its mean you are not paying any tax. In that way CO can think that this guy is going to become a burden on our economy since you are eligible for centrelink and in this case your visa grant can take too much time. Its better to start earning any paying taxes so that a negative thing does not come on your Case aofficer mind.

what is funny in this question?? kindly explain

I am a offshore candidate.

By considering your logic true for a moment then what about those applicants who lodge their visa applications from offshore? Do they all have jobs in hands once they arrive in AUS? - Absolutely not in 99.9999% cases

Stupid logic which you heard from ‘SOMEONE’

Brother kindly explain me in simple words. My life is already messed up. I don’t want diplomatic answers.

I am a offshore person.

Yes you are right that immigration has now accessing to ATO from the last 6 months but it is to stop the tax evasion and further assess the character of temporary residents.

Don’t worry you don’t need to worry at all.

Thanks bro

It’s not just going to take ages, it won’t happen. Certain countries (the US) are even passing laws making it illegal to have vaccine certificates/passports!

This is unrealistic.

They need to review and re assess this as this covid issue evolves.

It may be a more simple vaccine document like they’re already requiring for other diseases.

Additionally, It may be just speculation as the PM already acknowledged the vaccine won’t stop the spread of the virus and stated it’s not compulsory to take it for age care worker.

So, It will be nonsense to wait for a global certificate given the vaccine can’t avoid the infection.

There is a lot of speculation out there in a changeable environment.

The country can’t sustain an economic isolation forever and at some point they need to make more realistic decision and accept this an endemic disease.
