Visa Grant Delay 189
Another grant with lodgement date Jan 22, 2019. Bring it on!!!
Hi All, If we change our job during the visa process, will it impact the grant? 33 months is too much of time and DHA can’t expect everyone to do the same job they did 3 years back. Atleast people get promoted and just because we applied for Visa it shouldn’t hinder our growth. Can anyone shed some light on this?
Where is the new grant??? In immi I can see tje last one which was updated yesterday
from what I see in immitracker, the assess speed in Sep and Oct is pretty slow, in this speed to give grants, no wonder they need 33 months to clear all these backlogs.
Hello George, i have this same concern and i have not received any clear 100 % sure answer of this from my consultant, please read my comments above and if you get some details please share with me as well…
Hi guys I’m new here
I have lodged my 189 eoi on 15/5/18 with 65 points and have updated to 75 points on 11/10/19. Does this mean the processing time will count from 11/10? Hope for the best for other applicants as well.
Yes exactly, new date will be the one when your points increased, and you will get invite according to your 75 point and current availability/cut off of your job code…
Your processing time will start once you submit the application after getting invitation. Make sure you’re ready with your documentation to submit the application as soon as you get the invite.
Had posted feedback on homeaffairs website for the delay for 189 . This is the reply which i recieved.
The Department of Home Affairs has received your feedback on 22 October 2019. Feedback on our processes and services is important and we thank you for bringing this matter to our attention.
Processing times are impacted each month by changes in application volumes, seasonal peaks, complex cases, and incomplete applications. We assess applications on a case-by-case basis, and actual processing times can vary due to individual circumstances including:
· whether you have lodged a complete application, including all necessary supporting documents
· how promptly you respond to any requests for additional information (remember to check your junk folder, as our correspondence may auto-filter into spam)
· how long it takes to perform required checks on the supporting information provided
· for permanent migration visa applications, how many places are available in the migration program
You can monitor the processing times on our website: https://immi.homeaffairs.gov.au/visas/getting-a-visa/visa-processing-times/global-visa-processing-times
Your correspondence will be sent to the relevant processing area for information.
We hope this information has been helpful to you.
What a JOKE
I lodged in the middle of March and heard nothing yet. I’m angry, devastated and depressed… If I knew this would happen, I would’ve never started this process. It is a SHAME for a country like Australia.
Hahahaha, same old , typical , pre-written response…
we all understand your frustration bahaaraa. I think, most of the forum members are now tired of worrying due to this unforeseen delay.
One more visa grant today as per the immitracker… Good news.
Have just posted a feedback/complaint on the home affairs portal, will update when I get a response.
The grants are obviously happening but only for pre-Feb applicants… there is zero progress on applications from March onwards.
I feel like I have been scammed for money. I wish now, I could have used this much amount of my hard earned money and irreversible time(in yrs!) into something else. Imagine, getting scammed by a country ! that too country like Australia
yes, it could be that they are starting from where they have left at…
