They keep inviting even though they have a massive backlong for one reason. Simple. Because it’s not a queue and they handpick whatever they feel like whenever they feel like. There isn’t a whiff of certainty to the process, no transparency, mainly smoke in mirrors, wishful thinking and thousands of confused, doubtful and lost applicants that are wasting hundreds of thousands of dollars and putting their goals and dreams on hold awaiting a grant.
Visa Grant Delay 189
The ones I shared.
It was a screenshot from Iscah, but there is data in the disclosure log with the total number for 189 like the below as of May 2020 and this number hasn’t gone down as there are not many decisions after that plus they need to add new applicants.
Ah okay. So there’s still a huge backlog of undecided applications.
Maybe the picture will become more clear when they advise how many of 6500 allocations will be for NZ stream and honestly, the allocated numbers can change as the year and situation progresses. DHA has done it before.
Whatever it is everything right now doesn’t make sense, department policy keeps changing everyday, there isn’t any sytematic processing and ofcourse huge backlogs. i have been waiting since oct 22 2018 and it will be 24 months this oct 22, and i am onshore. still i havent got any email for re-do medical check and its frustating. And regarding 6500 places this year lets see the new invitation round for this month and months ahead , and the idea will be cleared that department is going to clear backlog are issues 6500 invitation this year.
this is really painful on ur part
The problem is they don’t seem to care about the age of cases.
They’re picking up new applications for decision and if the cap is filled this will send the ones missed out to another financial year.
We want a fair processing and we’re collecting signatures.
You could also help by asking your friend permanent residents or citizens to sign.
Oh wow, that is so frustrating!! 2 years is CRAZY and what makes it more shocking is that you are onshore. Is there no way to contact your CO or write to them through skillselect ?
I am getting impatient because I am missing out on opportunities at my workplace as all internal roles require Residency.
Nope there isn’t anyway of contacting CO. My immi account still says further assessment since june 11 2019. Funny thing is after that there is not a single contact. they havent requested anything as all the docs were provided,
What’s your occupation bro?
electrical engineer
So there’s no update since 15 months. Did you do your PCC again and uploaded new ones? (Just in case the CO asks again?)
And don’t worry. Good news is on its way. I know it’s just words but we have to be positive and hopeful.
You are first in the queue. Best of luck bro you will get your grant soon.
i updated my pcc i think might have to do medical again but i am just waiting for my CO to contact me about MEDICAL CHECK. ANYWAY thankyou so much for your concerns , i appreciate kind words from you guys. i hope everyone will have better days coming by.
thankyou mate, hope so, and best of luck to u too as well.
Two years is the standard wait time for an NZ stream application, and increasing monthly.
Hey @kyanar I got a question.
Do you know if people working for the government can work from home?
If so, Just wondering if this may be affecting DHA staff located in Victoria.
Shrug. “Government” isn’t some big nebulous entity, it’s hundreds of departments at all levels with different policies, practices, and requirements.
Yes, I understand.
but just assuming this may be a general principle that applies to all.
I think It affects professionally. NZlenders can still apply for permanent Jobs here. For us, our visa conditions prevent us from getting permanent in certain industries.
New Zealanders are also excluded from certain industries, so that’s not really relevant.
