Visa Grant Delay 189

Yours is 189? When did you lodge ? First contact ?

guys ! change. org petitions are of no use. just a waste of time and no official body will be held accountable for this.

Instead you can try your luck at the Australian Parliament website. There is a process to create a petition for any issue and if it gathers 10K signatures then that issue will be discussed in the parliament here is the link https://www.aph.gov.au/Parliamentary_Business/Petitions/House_of_Representatives_Petitions/Petitions_General/Request_a_new_e-petition

Looks like it is better to create petition in this link - https://www.aph.gov.au/petition_list

  • official website of the Australian parliament and would add more value if we create it here

@DBoben is working on a new petition.

He may be using this link.

I also made the parliament petition as well, but I am offshore. We need onshore petitioners.

Yeah. 189. Onshore Applied on 14/01/2020

NEW FOI for the 189 application on hand aged between 18 to 24 months

Awesome.

Many thanks.

This one may include NZ stream, right?

Game over.

Just a general inquiry surrounding change of circumstances after 189 visa lodgement and still waiting for grant. Does a change in job have to be notified to the department if no points were claimed for it. However, it has been mentioned during the application that it is a current job, in the employment history section of the application?

Well i submitted the petition. Lets hope for the best!

Thank you :clap::clap::clap::clap::clap::clap::clap::clap::clap:.

Fingers crossedđŸ€ž

What are your expectations from your petition. I don’t understand what you want. As I’ve stated before if they are not letting citizens back in why would they let PR holders in before ?

Hi I am just like you guys waiting for PR only thing I am onshore. That’s it

Hey man chill out

There is a lot of information out there an statements from Oz officials, however, everything is being reviewed day by day as new developments come along.

At the end of the day the petition aims to get visa processing restarted, this won’t happen overnight.

Please don’t start unnecessary discussions. This is very stressful for all of us.

We are being proactive and working for the benefit of everybody affected by this delay.

Thanks @DBoben for your valuable contribution to this group.

Is there a link to the petition that I can sign.

Petitions have to be considered by the Department of the House of Representatives before they are published. Also remember that only a current citizen or resident of Australia is entitled to sign parliamentary petitions, and too many invalid signatures may invalidate the petition.

By the terms and conditions for petitions, there is also no guarantee that your petition will be presented at all in parliament, even if it has a million signatures. I wish you luck, but in all my years of dealing with (even working in) the government (not that department!), I have low expectations.

Are you from NZ?..

I heard it’s difficult to work for the government if you’re not citizen.

We have read news where a senate has been reached out by temporary visas holders who raised their issues to him, and he is now advocating for them.

So, why it wouldn’t work for us?
