Visa Grant Delay 189

Fingers crossed.

Many thanks

Hi Cachito
See this is what I saw right now

if you need my petition text, I can send it you to save you some typing work.

Thanks for sharing this.

Well, It seems we got the answer.

South Australian government has this statement on priority occupations for processing on their website, this is why I earlier mentioned that it seems this is the general policy.

It’s a shame.

He is saying the skill list will remain with other occupations and visas will be processed. So, I think we should insist on the petition to make sure getting visas processed as there are many applicants waiting for nearly two years and this is ridiculous.

We have seen that such priority list didn’t exist pre-covid and they didn’t follow order to pick up cases, so I think we should insist on this as before the covid issue they were not following the order and there was no such priority occupations or at least nothing public or a valid reason for it. They had the region visa priority from last year and this year another shift.

The true is they are not processing many visas anyway and in the past they were able to process around 1k applications in a month. This is what we need to strive for.

It’s not the same to say we’ll process these occupations first and only 400 visas a month than 1k because chances for the occupations excluded to get picked will be reduced.

I hope this makes sense.

It seems like this is for business visa only, but chances are there these occupation might be prioritized for other visas too. lets be hopeful.

yes please
!

yes, it’s openly referring to sponsor visas.

However, It is aligned with the visa grants we ha seen so far. I would say regardless they will process visas, so we need to aim they start processing at a normal pace, that would increase our chances and also be more transparent with the order of processing.

I did not find an entry to send you a text. lol. But you can redirect to my petition here, same textual content. You can add extra info and paraphrase it to meet 250-word limit.

So most of the pending visa will be left behind these 17 PMSOL, especially those 12 to 18 months pending cases that are not falling into this 17 PMSOL. Aren’t we all investing our money, skills and time if our PR are granted even we are not on the 17 PMSOL? It doesn’t make senses.

Some more clarity about priority visa subclasses frm department side

So basically
our fault
that we eyed fr 189 visa and got succeded to get invited and result is longģģģggggg waittttttttttttt

The priority visa is only for visa subclass 482, 494, 186 and 187. They should prioritise those who are waiting for 189 for same occupations too.

Hopefully
they wud cm up wd this idea

My fd 186 visa was contacted by CO in June 20 after she submitted all the docus and ask for medical check few weeks after, then got granted in August 20.

Yes I already checked this

I had my CO contact in February and and responded within one day. No update since. :crossed_fingers:
