Visa Grant Delay 189

yes what we will do now , dont know

Even I got the processing timelines as 18 to 33 months, the official time is still showing 11 to 22 months, this really scares me. Don’t know what to do

friends, eventually Visa will be processed without fail - But there could be so many implications like - Medicals getting expired PCC getting expired scores getting expired ACS getting expired

I am really worried what if CO comes back after 1 year as per his convenience and asks us to re-do the expired documents - that may again add to indefinite delay

However, again, I am requesting all, to please be calm and have indefinite patience (nothing much we can do) - Who knows 18 to 33 months may again come down to normal

Let’s pray together and have faith - WE WILL GET GRANTS

The confusion is how come in our application we are getting 18 to 33 months, but official is still showing 11 to 22 months.

Is this change in timeliness for individual cases or for all pending 189 applications.

Not sure - We absolutely have 0 idea like why these things are happening - Let’s wait and watch

It cant get worst than this
There is no point in waiting to get PR for 3 - 4 years where in Citizenship applications will be processed easier than this

Hi Ram, is your application also shows timeliness as 18 to 33 months?

If anyone else have the same issue, please respond.

Regards, Ankit Puri

Yes Ankit, my application processing time also shown as - 18 to 33 months

18-33 months
 damnnn !!!

This processing timeline is from “current date” or “date of lodgment”?

Hi Friends, just called immigration help desk and asked them regarding significant increase in processing time from 11 - 22 months to 18 - 33 months

They mentioned that it may come down as well very soon and it’s not constant at the moment

And regarding Visa grants, they mentioned they cant comment anything at the moment (which is expected though ) - however , applications are being processed - case on case basis.

date of lodgement

Thank you so much for the info. But it seems like 189 doesnt move at all, even the co contact get no update.

I heard news from somewhere that 200 employees resigned from DHA department and now DHA is hiring new employees to process the applications. This is the reason why processing time is 13 months. :frowning:

I am not even able to get the courage to login to immi account after getting this news
i think now it is worth calling them, they should know the restlessness canditates have in mind and the stress we are facing
what is your view friends if we all call them on same day and after getting so many concerns will it cause them to think and take some decisions?

Just as I had suspected. 189 is clearly being delayed
I dont see other Visa categories being impacted this severely (or impacted at all) which means this is nothing to do with the number of employees DHA has or doesnt have. Sadly
only thing we can do is wait (unless if there is want to appeal somewhere collectively)

The official page will change soon, dont worry about that.

omg

This is not a good sign - New employees processing our applications !!! It could make a huge difference in terms of we probably getting so many queries from CO (if he is new) when compared to experienced professional processing cases quickly as he understands majority of system

Things are getting worst now !!!

Source of this news please?

Please revert, what is your view about calling them? I know this has been asked and discussed many a times, but will it help ? Will it cause any negative impact? What about lot of us calling them on a one particular day?
