Visa Grant Delay 189

There is no wrong in expressing yourself, but you should note that, if that were the case, there wouldn’t be any invitations whatsoever. But as you can although decreased, but invitations are coming every month, sometimes twice per month. However as i said before, they are likely granting applications with higher points - most likely under 30 candidates. This is the most preferred section of people for country looking for immigration. Its very natural…

Thank Bro, lets all just hope for the best and wait.

There is one direct grant for March 22nd on immitracker :slightly_smiling_face: fingers crossed :crossed_fingers:

Where is that…i cant find

That’s Jan 16th Grant, not today’s.

Congratulations LarryD. I have also been contacted to sign and upload Form 815 for my kids (they seem to be exposed to TB, not active TB though). I have signed and uploaded Form 815 on the same day of CO contact. CO request states that once we (myself and my family) receive Visa Grant, I need to contact BUPA to arrange follow up with in 4 weeks of arrival into Australia. I have contacted BUPA right away to make if I am not missing anything, they also confirmed that they can proceed with follow up medicals only after we get VISA. But seems, you have done medicals before you got GRANT. This is little confusing.

That’s right, it was probably updated today on tracker

He has received a CO Contact for redoing medicals since his spouse’s medicals got expired. I’m also in the same boat and even if we both receive a CO contacts for redoing medicals we have to, otherwise if a grant is issued we have to contact BUPA after reaching Australia !

Third CO contact today and guess what - new police check required, but no repeat medical asked.

Coincidentally (or not), the Commonwealth Ombudsman replied saying after internal consultation they have stopped using “twice of processing time for 90% of cases” as a threshold for investigation.

Hi, if I may ask, when did your PCC expired? You’re almost there mate.

November 2019. I really want to write back to them saying had you guys not been mucking around and responded earlier this delay would have not come up at all.

Good to see progress, all the best, you think the complaint to ombudsman might have helped here ? I mean they might have escalated this to DHA and thus DHA acted…

The Ombudsman made it very clear that the best they could do is to ask for the reason for delay and it won’t expedite my application. But I think at least the Ombudsman now understands that it is not holding DHA to account very well.

hi, my wife got false TB detect during medicals and got cleared last april, then first CO contact was for wife’s 815 last june, then my wife medicals expired last oct so i got another CO contact for her to do medicals last dec.

I see that CO contact for expired PCCs is pretty common. I know there’s a high probability of local PCC being asked. Will the CO ask for overseas PCC too even if the period after the expiry of the overseas PCC is not spent there?

Anybody got request to redo PCC even if they were no longer staying in that country post the PCC expiry?

i don’t understand what does ombudsman actually mean with that statement.

bro can u elaborate for all of us…??

I have this question too. Does anyone know the answer?

Basically it means chasing further with the Ombudsman won’t make your visa processing faster.

I still see some 2018 lodgements in immi tracker who have never been contacted by CO. Can this be true? Or it’s just that people forgot to update their case?

For me, my initial submission included NZ, UK and Australian police check. I did pre-emptively submit a new NZ poilce check in December (as it was free anyway and could take 4 weeks). The CO today only asked to renew AFP NPC, but strangely not my UK one. So it’s fairly inconsistent.
