If you submit 815 then that health clearance stands good only for 6 months. After 6 months the CO can ask you to do medicals again or just ignore that and go ahead with the process. Looks like @LarryD here got a contact again to get the medicals done for his wife again. So i’m expecting the same for my wife as the 6 months have passed after getting here health clearance. Just wanted to know the process of repeat medicals from someone here, should all the tests including the xrays and the subsequent sputum tests be done again or is it all other tests except the xrays since we have already signed the 815 and submitted it for the abnormal xrays and further clearance.
Visa Grant Delay 189
When contacted Bupa regarding this 815, they said that health undertaking can be done only after PR VISA grant and the list of tests to be done will be indicated by case officer. My family is in Australia on dependent visas, so thought of getting the medicals done at BUPA but they (BUPA) emailed clearly stating, this can be taken up only after you are granted Visa (in this case PR).
815 is different,It is an undertaking that you need to visit Bupa after getting your Grant, but if the CO wants you to get the medicals done again for proceeding with your case further then you have to. no other option.
i don’t agree, after invitation what makes our application process faster or slower is our documents, country of residence and of course our assigned CO, only these three things matter after invitation.
hey guys, I found this document on the home affairs website about the christmas closure; off course they are probably other staff memebers who have already taken extended leave over this period and the department is running a skeleton staff. So they are closed from 25th decemeber -2nd of january according to this document.
Thanks Karthik for your response. Do I have any option to update about baby due? Would it be a better idea to do so before baby’s delivery? What if I get grant before the delivery of baby? Due date is in February and planning for delivery in India itself.
yah got contact for expired health check, verified this with panel clinic, my wife will be doing medicals tom, will update you how it goes, but from hap document , they request xray, and the usual test only, might be if xay ok no need to do 603.
right now its the ussual medical, xray and hiv etc, no 603. shell be doing it tom. i think if everything is ok thene no need to do 603. will update you on this
date of clearance is the date when the health clearance is provided, like for my wife case is april, then CO contact us june for 815, 815 submitted last week of june. from this case the 6 months validity of the health clearance or medical starts from april not the date of upload of 815 to be clear. too bad i missed the december 16 bus because of this. cheers
Yeah hopefully… can’t go through the whole process again for no reason and there is no guarantee your visa will be processed again within 6 months based on the lady 6 months trend. Keep me informed… All the best
Where do you think the DHA is located in Australia? The source is this forum where applicants have mentioned CO contacts from different states.
there is one in every state, they all process pr applications.
Who decides upon setting Global Processing timelines? Doesn’t make any sense esp. when there are >16k application pending.
What they mean is low volume of applications processed not in the wait list !
Hi raghu, While your application is in progress , if baby is born, and u can add baby by submitting Form 1022. This will add couple more time in your processing time (say extending 2-4 months) In case if you got grant beforehand, you apply for baby separately. So u don’t want to wait and if u wish to travel as soon as possible and let the family join later. Though it’s a general steps, you can mail DHA stating your situation and get their advise for your case especially.
Thanks Karthik for your clarification
Only reason for the global processing time could be that they are only considering the application for invite sent after new rules on 16 December, i.e. 11 December. This is pure guess, as by any means i don’t think there is less volume of application as after march everyone is pending and some from November 2018 as well.
I feel like giving up on this dream of getting to Australia … I didn’t know I would have it this tough while it was relatively easy for a few others. It frustrates me so much to have to wait with no idea of what is happening in the background. I write this today only because I know some of you can empathize with my situation. I started this journey back in Jan 2017 and now here we are nearing 2020.
The Global Processing Times isn’t a factor of number of applications in the pipeline. It’s based on a report of the applications processed for a particular month, in this case, November. Implying they didn’t process sufficient applications last month for them to have reasonable data. Cheers.
Man. I can empathise with you. It’s frustrating to be honest. You can’t give up now. So hang in there. Hopefully the grant will come and you’ll live your dream life in Australia.
