Dear Muhammad Rabeed

Thank you again for your email regarding the terrible situation facing holders of expired Bridging B Visa holders.

I raised the issue of expired Bridging B Visa holders with the Department of Home Affairs on Monday during Senate Estimates.

The Department confirmed they have still not developed a visa pathway for expired Bridging B Visa holders to return to Australia.

It is beyond belief that from 21 February tourists can travel to Australia, but someone who has lived in Australia for 7 years and is waiting for their permanent residency visa to be granted, is still not allowed to return.

You can watch my full questions on the following link: https://www.facebook.com/NickMcKim/videos/344649630873090/

The Government has a duty of care to urgently fix this mess, and end the heartache that you have all been experiencing while stuck offshore for the past 23 months.

Please be assured that the Greens will continue to advocate for expired Bridging B Visa holders and in the meantime, if you are willing to share your story with the media please let me know.

Please take care and stay safe.

Warm regards Nick

Senator Nick McKim Australian Greens Senator for Tasmania This is my story.

Bro please then share the story and concerns of delayed visa processing with news channels…
