Visa Grant Delay 189

Even in previous years their news channels discussed the change.org petitions as Australian are also using this platform for raising their concerns

Bro at least you sent him (senator) an email about both the petitions
it could be something positive

Ok bro i am sending another email to them.

Good news-one of my friend lodged 189 software engineer India offshore on April 2019. Got 1st co contact today for medical n pcc

70000 applications but slow speed I think they have to take speed of bullet train

So two co contacts reported today from april 2019 right?

Yeah :smiley::smiley::smiley:

That’s something new happening. Hope we all get our grants soon

Yeah man, actually I had consulted two different agents but ridiculously what they said totally contradicts each other
One said I could enter the border under 600 and then apply for a BVA so as to stay onshore until my 189 drops
yet the other warned me that since I am an ‘OFFSHORE’ applicant
I wouldn’t be eligible for BVA whatsoever
just wondering what info you guys have been getting pls?

The question here isn’t if we can activate BVA once onshore, that’s definitely doable. Check the bridging visa application form to clear your doubts. The concern here is if we’ll be granted a visitor visa as the application demands a clear intention to return.

Sorry did you apply onshore or offshore? Just to be clear, only people who once held a bridging visa against their 189 application can apply to reinstate their BVA. This doesn’t apply to people who applied offshore as they never held a bridging visa.

Yeah I totally get ur point
I’m actually concerned about BOTH since I lodged my 189 offshore

Oh
and by’apply’
does that refer to the time of my EOI ‘submission’ or the ‘lodgement’ after getting the invite?

lodgement

Hey guys just an overview of our application first - my wife received invitation for 189 in july 2019 and uploaded all documents in aug 2019. We cam offshore (india) in march 2020 to get married and got stuck in india due to covid but we added me in 189 application. While in india her bvb expired but luckily i still had my 485visa and we came onshore (aus) on dec 2021

Then we applied for change in conditions for get our bva for 189 in jan 2022 and received bva for 189 in 1 week.

Now we got our first ever CO contact for medical and pcc on 8 feb for 189 for our application of july 2019

Hope this helps

I think now they are going to open their eyes

Ohh then don’t get the visit visa. You are an offshore applicant.

Thanks for sharing. What is the job code of the primary applicant?
