Visa Grant Delay 189

A general question to everyone, when they ask to redo PCC, do they ask to renew all the PCC’s or only the PCC from country of present residence? I guess only PCC from country of present residence should be renewed. As renewal of other PCC’s would not make any sense?

I think they won’t ask pcc if you already left the country before pcc expiry and never returned after that. My case is similar because I left Australia in march 2020 and haven’t returned because of the border closure.

Yeah I agree, But it would help if others could comment too.

Merry Christmas and Happy new year.

Probably the reason no one talks about it or make a big deal of this rule is many applicants are willing to wait to get the visa before they get married. No one put a gun in their head to apply for the visa . Immigration always involves some planning involved and will definitely affect your personal life.

Besides, in the old days, single people don’t get any points for being single while married applicants can claim partner points, yet no one complained that this is discriminatory against single people.

I don’t think you can redo medicals on your own. The deptt has to advise you to that. Either they will generate a new HAP id or re-open the existing one, against which the diagnostic center will upload your reports. This is only available when the Deptt assigns HAP Id to be able to do thaylt.

Your point is very valid, but it is situational as well and this probably will not be able to hold grounds. There are other countries as well which has similar regulations, but thier processing time is very less - 2-3 months. But in case of AU it feels unjust because of it’s ridiculously high processing times. So that is where the problem lies as they will pit these delays against COVID which will always have higher precedence. Another point which I am sure they will present - you can always marry but just inform the deptt about it and they will either adjust the points and probably reject the application and ask you tonre-apply it. That will not be against humab rights but delay or reduce the chance of getting grants considerably

I have a query. I have applied for PR in aug 2019 in 189 261313 stream. Can I assume that I will get the grant some day, even though there may be some delays involved. What can be the scenarios when a PR application is rejected?

Rate of 189 visa rejection is very small i.e. ~2.0%

Have you been contacted by co since you lodged your application?

No CO contact yet.

Guys, I wanted to check…my application is in “Further processing” after 2 CO contacts…is there any option to withdraw application with fee refund ?

Same here no co contact so far.

You will not get refund. Just wait for your grant.

Thanks for the suggestion! Appreciated!

Thanks @Rabbit19, @ashish85 for the thoughtful comments! Much appreciated!

Just an update on my case:

No update. Lodged on 26th November 2018, developer programmer. Still waiting for first contact.

I don’t intend to disappoint anyone, but don’t let the processing time affect your career/life. 25 months and 2 days, I guess I’ve broken the record for the longest delay.

Good luck.

I feel you!! The wait is excruciating and exhausting. I still have a glimmer of hope though. Hopefully ours will come through very very soon.

Hopefully. I’ve been following this forum for over 18 months now. I’ve seen guys doing everything possible to get their well deserved outcome, but majority are still suffering from this long a miserable wait. I still hope it’ll be over soon
