Applied in Oct 2018… last CO contact in July 2019. Was on a 457 which expired today!!
still onshore though
That’s ridiculous. My 485 expired in February 2019, still they never bothered to touch my file or to see if I was still alive
The imbalance between no. of onshore and offshore grants is due to Covid. I hope the situation will improve once this pandemic is over, or Australian borders open to normal again.
vaccine will b the game changer in such scenario
Crazy stuff! Didn’t you get a bridging visa after your visa application ?
Yes I did. But that’s pretty useless if you’re applying for a new job, or if you’re waiting for longer than 12-13 months
timeline changed - 9 months to 19 months
and that timeline is for 75% and 90% of applications respectively…for the remaining 10%, it is indefinite time
Hey guys, I have been one of those waiting for the longest. 21 months! Anyway, I have decided to redo my police checks while waiting to make things faster when they pick up the case again. Also, I will redo the health checks as I heard I can redo them with the original HAP ID given by the immigration. Any idea/ experience doing this to gain time? I was told you have to wait to be asked again, but then I found out that if you have a HAP ID already, u can redo them. Thanks for your time. This group is very helpful.
Did you find any reliable source about this?
Can you share with us?
As far as my knowledge goes, we can do medicals only once on a HAP ID whether its given by immigration or the one you have created when you lodge your application but I am not sure if we can create one more HAP ID and do medicals (so that they have latest health information).
Bro in 21 months no co contacted you?
I have been contacted 3 times!
Sorry, my agent misinformed me. I called Bupa today and they said the department needs to activate to renew them. I am so angry with my agent for false hope!
Why so many times?
how many months between each of them?
Well.
It was weird. I have never heard about it and I tried to find information on different sites including home & affair website and there is no indication this is possible.
We should send them a feedback requesting to allow us to get a new HAP ID on mymedicals, which is currently inactive by the way.
Oh that’s good. At least they know that you are alive
