Visa Grant Delay 189

Hi there, Can anyone tell me how long a police check is valid for?? Thanks

PCC is valid for 12 months from the date issue for AUS IMMI

Well in that case, my PCC is about to expire, will expire on 20/2/2020, haven’t received grant yet, lodged on 18/03/19. Should I re-do my PCC??

You Can reapply and upload a new PCC before Hand To avoid further CO contacts and delay! Some got grants without a new PCC In above forums but its all depend on CO . There is no harm in applying a new PCC .

Hi All,

My medicals has been already expired a month before. Can i go head and redo the medicals before CO contact. Please advice on this

Hi Guys, Myself, Spouse and Kid received our grants on 15th February, Its a Direct Grant… Lodged on 1st April 2019. Reason for delay post: I actually stopped checking my mails and immi account out of frustration… just opened it and presently surprised to see that i received grant 2 days back. All the best to all those waiting for grants… Hope all you guys waiting to get your grants very soon…

I have been silent reader/follower of this thread and read each and every comment for almost 11 months. This thread has been great source of support during frustrating times.

I am extremely happy to share the news that we have received our (3 Nos) visa grant today morning. Updated on immitracker as well.

My timeline is;

First PTE attempt: Feb 2018 First EA Assessment: Aug 2018 (Negative outcome) Second PTE attempt: Oct 2018 Second EA Assessment: Jan 2019 (Positive Outcome, Civil Engineer) Invitation: 11 Feb 2019 Visa Application: 14 Mar 2019 Change of Circumstances: June 2019 (New born baby) Change of Circumstances: Nov 2019 (New Job & relocation) CO contact: 16 Jan 2020, responded to CO on 22 Jan 2020 I don’t know, how and when job verification was done. I haven’t cared much as i submitted loads of third party documents related to my employment history. Visa grant: 18 Feb 2020 (Family of 3) - Offshore IDE: 18 Feb 2021

I would like to advice members to continue with normal life and plans like job change etc, this will help you guys to reduce frustration.

and fellows with extremely negative comments on this thread; please remember this is not going to help in any way.

Best of Luck and loads of prayers who are waiting for grant.

Hi Guys,

I have a doubt regarding the issue of grants. Does people with work experience get priority over those who lodged without any experience? By looking at the pattern, only those with experience are getting visas…

Hi, I think DHA, has many screening parameters. My understanding is that applications are screened at a first level for security, health and character checks. May be some application, like mine for 485 visa, are sidelined for additional checks, may be because DHA thinks there is some conflicting information in the application or so.

Then comes the country of passport, ANZSCO code, points, verifiability of experience claims and no. of years of experience etc. I can say a lot and quote a lot of stuff in support of my hypothesis

e.g.

There are only four cases with 242111 Anzsco Code on immitracker and the only one who already received PR, applied at least 5 months after me(I am still waiting for a grant or CO contract). Same total score =85. Same score for experience = 10 points, both applied onshore. The only difference is my job experience is from my home country and his job experience is from Aus. Cheers

@sajal Technically speaking, it should take lesser time to sort out applications which claim points for education, professional yr, pte, age etc, right? I feel more time is spent on employment verifications rather than clearing out those with sure shot visas… I lodged 189 visa on 29th march 2019… I’ve seen people getting visa who lodged way after my date…

I applied for 485 on 21st may and 189 on 11 June. For 485 visa, timeline for 90 percent application is 4 months. Nore than eights months have passed already. I am not too eager about 485(Four years) visa. My only worry is, if they are performing same level or higher level of health, security and character checks on 189 visa, my application can suffer delays.

Cheers

My only hope is, they are delaying 485 application because of my 189 application. i.e. they would expect me to withdraw 485 application after 189 gets decided.
