Visa Grant Delay 189

When it is for you, it is for you… All you need is patience… Sometimes good rewards may take time to reach you… When it comes, the joy you experience will be unexplainable… Keep waiting for those moments to come. Best wishes…

It is so disheartening to read your posts when we look up to this forum to cheer up, wishing to see one grant message at the end of each day! And instead see your messages talking about wanting to withdraw applications and getting refunds, etc. Wish you understood that there are other people who probably don’t have a choice apart from waiting for the PR as a lot of their life’s decisions depend on it. Anyway no point trying to explain situations to you, I rather would wish a DHA official to visit this page and see all our angst and process the applications faster :pensive:

I empathise with you and understand that it’s disheartening. But, I feel accepting the reality gives you more strength than false hopes propagated by sweet statements.

The reality is that DHA fleeced us and given an indefinite timeline at the start, many of us would not have gone ahead with the application.

Many users on this forum sound over-enthusiastic when they say you’ll get your grants in the next 2 weeks, or 3 weeks. But I have accepted that it may take very long. If it comes before my expectation, I’ll be happy, but I will not be harbouring false hopes and getting gloomy when the grant does not come in the sweet timeline suggested by the users and immitracker.

For example, one of the hypotheses I have is that for all March applicants to get their grants, it will take a minimum of 4 more months. I simply don’t see how they will get the grants by Feb end (immitracker is predicting this)

Great. Good for you. Maybe you should start keeping these sentiments to yourself. Your comments are based on complete speculation. The tracker itselfs represents a very small percentage of applications and is heavily skewed towards IT related professions. I am an architect myself, I believe there are only 3 of us on the tracker. There is no point now speculating on timings. If DHA says 11-13 months that’s what I have to believe.

We can safely extrapolate the numbers to real world. Immitracker roughly represents 5 percent of applications. On immitracker, there are 112 March applications who are yet to receive a grant or CO. That’s around 2200 pending March applications in real world. Assuming around 10 grants are reported per week on immitracker, we can expect around 200 grants per week in the real world, which is around 11 weeks, add 4-5 weeks for pending applications before March, we are easily looking at 15-20 weeks worth of waiting time.

As for the skewness, it holds true in the real world as well (there will be much more IT applicants than any other field)

Has anyone seen or know of a 189 visa applicant in the occupation “university lecturer i.e. ANZSCO code 242111 ???”… I have not seen one either on this forum or any other forum.

Great. Continue moaning for another 25 weeks. I’m sure that will excel the process.

This situation of delays is a good opportunity to read, and understand queueing theory of mathematics, which is at play here, and which we will remember forever. :stuck_out_tongue:

The only reality that’s there is that the grant will come, either in the next hour or in the next year, but as long as the goal is the life after that, it doesn’t matter when the grant comes! Keep your eye on the goal dude and relax a bit! Stop solving mysteries! And if you have an alternate life goal, then please follow your dreams and let us follow ours! Peace out!

I don’t know how you see that your negative energy will help anyone , we all realize the Facts and though we are living our lives and making plans based on the possibilities of having the grant in the next hour or within a year or not having it at all . We are not sure if they process our application that we will get the grant, its something you should know.

Lodged Nov 2018, application still says “Received”, called GSC and now they say that we can’t provide an answer that explains the delay. Any other people in the forum with the code 263111 and still waiting? If we have around 10 members, we can report this as Feedback to pick up any cases pending since, who knows, we might get lucky and they actually process the application on time.

You need to write a feedback. It shouldnt be a complaint. I have been told there is a whatsapp group for Vietnamese applicants and a few wrote feedbcak and saw some fruitful results. Yours is a genuine case.

thank you guys.

Yeah 263111, waiting since 8th Dec 2018…i submitted a feedback few days back for which i received generic response, yesterday i again submitted a complaint, let’s see what happens…apart form that i sent 2 follow up emails as well on email with which CO contacted for documents but no response yet…and many calls as well which lands up in call center and of no use…my mara consultant suggested to do PCC again meanwhile to save time…

what abt medicals

We cannot do medical unless CO asks for it because they have to generate HAP ID and then only we can do medicals.

then wait for co for pcc as well what a shame for immigration dept of aust cannot handle the application within the processing time

Here: https://myimmitracker.com/en/au/trackers/consolidated-visa-tracker-sc189/analytics/average-time-to-a-grant-based-on-anzsco

Then click on ``Show filters" and type in your ANZSCO code of 242111. This yields two cases. However, the second case lists the occupation name as Actuary for the code 242111.

What’s the link where we can submit feedback to DHA? Can we all agree on a common email body and send it to DHA on a designated date and time? I think if they receive a large number of emails on a single day, they might actually take some positive action.
