Waiting Since 11 June 2019…

Couple of months ago I lodged a foi seeking number of Tourist(600) visas on hand and granted for offshore applicants. I forgot to share it earlier.

Just wondering if our processings would expedite if we manage to apply for a tourist visa now and switch our status to be ‘onshore’???

Thought for doing the same thing but unfortunately they are not granting tourist visas as of now. May be they will start from December because they are going to open the borders for few visa holders from December 1.

With the recent announcement from the prime minister, he used the language “visa holders.” I’m interpreting this as that we still won’t see processing of offshore applications since we don’t “hold visas,” am I wrong?

They also used the word skilled workers. it means there is a possibility for processing of our visas.

Yes we are not visa holders. Once we get our 189 visa Granted we will be permanent residents :grimacing:

They want skilled immigrants to return for better economic recovery, but do not want to expedite PR visa processing….Cant understand the logic.

Skilled immigrants entry directly projected that the processing should be going to normal as same as pre-pandemic level.

As per my prediction, they have to start processing now for offshore and can demand updated some documents because Jan 2022 is very close now and offshore applicants are now not eligible for benefits. They have enough seats to grant visas right now even they can grant more visas than their decided quota as same as last year.

They are not working on 189 visa for offshore. Just check the list of visa holders. They not even add SC 189 in the list. I lodge the visa on dated 08 feb 2018 and still waiting. I had physical verification on dated 13 feb 2020 and corona started and they closed the border and i am still waiting for grants. I am offshore applicant. And this is the facility for who are already granted visa. Just check the link https://covid19.homeaffairs.gov.au/vaccinated-travellers?fbclid=IwAR3M1tlian5-CwTEZETCZsd_LaAVIAoeUzz3epHGBZkrhnOOpKaGyQ7HIJM

how 189 and 190 can add to this list. See these are PR visas if PR granted then no need of any list or exemption. Further easing of border to all visas means you have now the probability that processing should be quick for offshore visas also same as onshore.

Let’s see mate what happen… I hope they started as soon as possible for offshore 189.

Those mentioned are the temporary visa subclass. 189 is a permanent visa and can’t be added under temporary visa subclass.
