Visa Grant Delay 189
Hang in there guys… IMO, too many job openings at the moment not getting filled due to lack of sufficient skilled people around.
Just to give an example, in my project, we have around 15-20 openings, unable to fulfil them even though we are flexible with the expectations.
I believe companies must be putting some pressure to allow skilled migrants from offshore either through work visa or PR grants.
PS: my opinions are only around the software engineers jobs.
You mean trying a new job from offshore with an AU company who can initiate 482?
If thats the question, it’s very tough…
Yes That was my question. Thank you @kvisred answering it. Just checking different ways to get to Australia to get the grant.
Hello @GurminderSingh I need your advice. Actually my friend is about to submit visa application. But he is confused in filling the details of casual employment (security) in visa application and form 80. However he did not add these details in EOI as he is not claiming any points for experience. So, i want to know is it necessary to include these details in visa application and form 80 both?? If it is required only in form 80 how he can proceed with the section like name of company?? Could you please help?
Hello @H.Singhkamboj for me it was same situation because I also have not claimed any points for employment. all I did were the casual jobs in Australia. Whatever he filled during the eoi in the employment history he have to fill that same information in the form 80 and in the visa application online form. Dont change anything.
Please tell me that how you filled employment section in form 80. from date of birth to till date: unemployed or something else??, reason?? and how support yourself financially??
dont overthink. just fill the employed period. dont worry about the unemployed period they will not ask the reasons for how he supported himself financially.
Hello All. My husband and I applied for the PR together on oct 2019. My husband is onshore and I’m offshore. Finally we got contacted by the CO last month asking only for form 80 and PCC. We submitted the same and just yesterday she/he again asked us to submit our Medicals. That’s when my husband realised that his passport is missing and it’s no where to be found. We lodged a police complaint and will wait for tomorrow to issue a new passport. But I’m really worried for our visa.
Has anyone ever lost their passports during the visa application period? Any thoughts or suggestions are highly appreciated. Also not finding a BPUA appointment as well for another month. 28 days are given to submit the doc in which he has to apply a new Indian passport, receive it and when get a health appointment. I’m really worried. We applied on our own after getting cheated by a lawyer so any suggestions are helpful please. Thankyou in advance.
Hi everyone. I am from Pakistan and I lodged my 189 software engineer application on 25 Feb 2020. I am the primary applicant and I was in Australia when I applied for this visa. Unfortunately, I am stuck overseas since March 2020 at the moment and my partner is in Australia. Here is my QUESTION! Since I am offshore at the moment, Is my application is considered onshore or offshore? And does anyone has any idea how long do I have to wait for my visa grant? Thank you!
I think you need to submit change in circumstances form but its better to consult some mara agent as this is a rare situation.
I am in same situation. Stuck in India since march 2020 on expired bridging visa b. Me and my wife are both in India so we are considered offshore. Mostly if the primary applicant is onshore then it is considered onshore but since you are offshore it might be considered offshore as you are primary applicant. As of now they are not giving much offshore primary applicant grants but may be by early 2022 they will start doing it.
Thank you Gurminder. However, I have talked to few agents in Australia. Some say my application is onshore and some told me they have no idea. This is making me confused. How did you find out that your application is offshore?
You would probably be considered ‘offshore’ - if you have a current valid visa you can check it on VEVO (this would probably will show you as offshore) - also, if you were onshore while submitting application and then moved offshore then probably you would have changed address to overseas as well (this again indicates that you are an ‘offshore applicant’).
Well - this is tricy and as someone else suggested best is to consult some agent. As per my understanding, you can submit change of circumstances form immediately if you can’t find the passport. Then, try to get the new passport asap and update its details on immi using ‘change of passport details’. Finally, you would probably need to contact department again for new HAP-ID since the old one will have the lost passport details. I hope this new HAP ID will sort every thing and once you do the medical then you should get the grant soon!
My BVB has expired. I cannot check my status on VEVO. Moreover, why I have to change my address? I was just traveling for few days and my address in Australia has not changed, since that house still belongs to me.
since you as a primary applicant is not physically present in Australia so you are considered offshore.
I am not sure about your specific condition (as you still possess a house in Australia). But, as per my understanding, there is a question in the application form that asks about ‘Usual Country of Residence’ and you don’t have an Australian visa or residing in Australia. Australian address could be your postal address (if someone can receive correspondence on this), but can this be your residential address or not, I am not sure. Maybe ask some registered agent whether you should change this address or not. My 2 cents
