What makes a citizenship application fast or slow?

Hi everyone,

Just wondering why some citizenship applications are processed a lot faster than the others even if they’re all applied in the same state. Does it relate to the residential history or possibly something else?

I don’t believe there is any specific reason for it to be slow / fast. Apart from criminal issues in the past.
