What is the preferred way for employment verification by COs? Actually in my case there is only one employer and he can't speak fluent English?

Hi Admin, i saw few cases in which employment verification date is earlier then Visa Lodge Date, can you check? also, if possible please apply validation on such fields.
My husband and I have lodge for both 190 and 189 on 1 July 2016. Skill set under ICT Business Analyst with 15 years of working experience.
189 - 65 points
190 (NSW) - 70 points
Any idea when would we probably either one of it , and which one would stand a better chance. please advice.
