Visa Grant Delay 189

I am still for my grant. Never contacted by CO yet. Lodgement date is Mar 23. The passport I’ve submitted with the application has my maiden name and address. If I get a fresh passport issued with new name and address post marriage, and intimate the DHA, will it delay my grant? If the grant does come before the new passport is issued, what is the process to intimate the DHA?

@adtrik same happend to me I applied on Mar21 2019, then wanted to add my new born to my application, inorder to get a passport for my son, i was supposed to add my wife’s name to my passport. Did that and uploaded stating change of circumstances form through my MARA agent. When I asked him about the recent pouring of Visas for applicants who have applied even after me, my agent said it takes additional 6months if u add any changes to the application.

If we see the Myimmitracker, all the applicants who have been granted are with 10pts and 15pts for work experiences. If you’re in onshore neither if u have only 5 pts or nothing u r being granted

Hi guys, finally got CO Contact after 11 months, added my spouse to application and sent bridging visa for her but did not send request for medical. Can we still do her medicals before request?

Hi, @vertigo 1. what did the Co contact for?? 2. How did you apply bridging visa for your wife ?? Is she also an onshore applicant?

CO added wife to my application and sent me acknowledgement of payment and bridging visa for her. (I added her in August 2019)
She is an onshore applicant

I feel ya!!! Wondering what the hold up is in our applications …I thought mine is very straightforward … Single applicant, worked in only two companies including the present one.

Hi All,

I lodged on 05.02.2019 for my wife and I, we then found out we were expecting a baby around mid July, I notified DHA and a CO contacting me with the relevant forms to add our baby on 24.06.2019. She was born on 10.07.2019 and I uploaded all documents on 11.07.2019. We got another CO contact on 31.01.2020, she was now added onto our visa and CO asked to do her medical (only info requested). Medical was done and uploaded and reflected on my account on 06.02.2020. Today, 10.02.2020 I received another CO contact with a document “Acknowledgement of a valid application for an additional applicant for 189 Visa”. Does this mean the visa will now be granted soon? Has anyone seen this before? Thanks for your help.

Hi…I’m a mar19th applicant who got co contact today to apply for fresh passport as my passport expires next month…does anyone know if we have to complete pcc also against fresh passport or wait for CO contact again.?

No harm in applying for pcc, when u will renew your passport there will be police verification for sure , so same verification can be used for pcc, and then they will issue you pcc at the same moment, u just need to apply for it online…yeah may be there can be one more visit to passport office, because passport and and pcc appointment may not fall on same day…

Hi Stefanogaras,

I am also in the similar situation. I lodged on 21.02.2019 and my new born was born in November 2019. I uploaded all of her documents in December 2019. She was added into our application on 6th February and medical was done. Can i ask that did you pay for adding new born into your application? We were told it is free to add new born but in our immiaccount it shows outstanding payment required. Thanks for your help.

Hi, I accidentally paid when adding our baby, around $1040 AUD. then I heard that to add a newborn it’s free. So I sent the department a msg on my Immi account to ask that question. Still waiting for a response. By my Immi doesn’t say anything about additional payments. Thanks.

Hi, no we haven’t received the visas yet, the CO contact was only to state our baby was added onto my application. I thought it was a weird CO contact.

My CO Contact was the same. A bridging visa issued for my partner and an ackn letter of valid applicaiton. I can see that the name is now in the attach documents section but not in the health assessment section. What do I do?
