Visa Grant Delay 189

189 processing is back to those slow and no days. People can safely give up any hopes of getting their grants now.

This is what i feel: The grants are being given certainly on the basis of score. For example anything above 80 has high probability of getting the grant soon. If you look carefully for most of the occupation, the invitation cutoff is 90 or something. Not sure how someone can get those sort of points though. This may be going Canada way where loads of not so skilled canadian residents get the PR due to thier canadian experience- however shallow that is. This i believe is a drawback of the system. I received the CO for updation of my PCC, which I did, but then the immigration consultant screwed up a bit not pressing the accept button after uploading the doc. I did press myslef later. Now waiting for my award…

my wife is Primary applicant on 189 with ANZSCO Code 234211 (Chemist), lodgement date 4/08/2019. ImmiTracker had initially indicated grant by December 2019 which has come and gone. Now it’s updated and showing May 2020. We’re using a Mara agent but is not much help in terms of forecasting.

From the tracking it seems March 2019 lodgements are being processed at the moment. Any suggestions on when our turn might come up?

Not before June 2020

Don’t refer to Immitracker analytics. It’s all naive forecasts, which are as good as looking at last few grants and making random predictions. Going by your lodgement date, it will be very difficult to make a prediction. Sit back and relax for now.

Points matter only till invite. After that, it’s all luck.

There were quite a few 190 grants today.

agreed luck matter after invite

one grant for 189 today

I felt they wanted more younger people for obvious reasons. And also i have seen some awards generally have higher points

Same ANZSCO code here (I’m the main applicant), lodged Last June 4, 2019. Still waiting now. my police clearances, unfortunately, expired while waiting so I called DHA and was advised to just hold off from getting new ones because they can’t promise that everything will be processed within a year. At that moment, I knew it’s going to take a long time so tried to get my mind off it. But as you guys know, you can’t really get your mind off it.

Hi @V_yoshen, I can’t find any Accept button while uploading documents… can you plz guide where this Accept button is ? I will appreciate! Thanks

Hi @Benz_Aus It appears way down below under attachment sections. After uploading, does the flag still appears ?? If yes means you haven’t clicked this button to accept that, new attachment satisfies the requirements. If there is no flag appearing means immigration authorities can now take a decision bases on new attachment. Hope that helps

Hi @V_yoshen, I guess this happens after CO contact, you might have contacted by CO. In my case Accept button is not appearing, I have never ever received any CO contact yet, lodge date 8th March 2019. Wat do u day

Yes correct, if you look at my message, this is after CO contacted me to upload latest PCC of my current residence country

@V_yoshen… thanks so much

No one knows what is happening with them , but it seems that they are not working on grants that much these days , even on 190 visa ,it’s less than 20 grants on 2020 and its more than 25 for 189

There are very strong hints that people who lodged 189 in the last few months would be never getting their grants. Probably the 189 applicants will be asked to move to 491 or given a choice of partial refund.

You are so funny

@ntrikann hi, just curious which country are you from originally and your current country ??
