Hi. If all the documents are okay and well oranized, can the processing time take more than 6 months?
5 months have already passed and there are no updates or info. I am starting to be nervous. Can it take years?
Time for processing applications - 6 months a myth?
Majority of the cases are processed within 6 months, usually 3-5 months, However, there are cases which take longer, around 10-16 months or longer. The latter undergo comprehensive security checks, which in forums is referred to as security screening. I have not seen any case longer than 2 years from AOR. The nationality plays an important role whether you are selected for security screening or not, as well as other factors such as working for the government, military, police, etc.
