I submitted my spouse sponsorship application along with the open work permit application.
I am a PR holder. Application received on June 9th and I got an email from CIC with a temporary application number on June 25th.
** Is this email I received with a temporary application number called AOR1 ? ** What will be the next step and communication to us? ** Is the Work Permit application in process since June 25th? Meaning should we calculate the processing time we see on CIC website from this day?
It is critical for us to know in order to assess if we are within the application timelines mentioned on the website (4-5 months) for the open work permit application.
We already have a job offer on hold just waiting for this work permit, we’d appreciate any information on how we should estimate application processing time in our case.
