Requirement of form 80 and form 1221- Mandatory or not?

Is it necessary to submit Form 80 and Form 1221 along with visa filing. My consultant said it is not mandatory after March 2018 (after removal of SC 457). I have asked them to upload the same so that I can get Direct Grant. They haven’t uploaded it as of now. Please advise if it is mandatory so that I should ask them to do it again.

I am an offshore applicant and lodged by visa application in September 2018.

Please suggest…

I also want to know the same. I submitted form 80 because it was written in the documents upload list, however, I didn’t upload form 1221 and I am also searching for a concrete answer on it.

Hi,

I don’t know if that’s mandatory or not, but I suggest you upload them to avoid CO contact requesting them. I’ve seen CO contacts just for this purpose in the past. And NEVER trust your agent! CO contact means further extension to them and more likely, further cash! So demand them to upload what you need. After all, it’s your application and you have the right to decide what goes in and what doesn’t!
