I am a new Canadian permanent resident (express entry) and I reside in the USA. I did my initial landing and gave a colleague’s local address for my PR card. The card has been approved. Question is: Is it OK for me to ask my colleague to send the card to me via FedEx to the US? I read on some online forums that this is extremely risky and that the customs will not let the package go through (for whatever reason!). Have others done this? If I cannot do this, only option I have is to re-enter via land border. I don’t know anyone in Canada that can bring it in-person to the US. And I don’t want to go down the PRTD route.
