i called dibp yesterday and they told me ur files in checks. Does it mean externally checking or any other check? I am waiting since 11 month
Can be both. However, based in the fact that you are waiting 11 months - your file is being checked externally.

You could have asked for external check directly and if so be ready to lodge complaint in igis
Igis accept complaint after 12 month of lodgement.

do you know what checks they perform externally? is that employment verification?
Employement check done by phone to previous company by ahc before 4 month. I called to dibp main phone. As gsm brisbane phone is no longer available.
