FBI PCC more than 6 months old
I received ITA on 1 March 2017 and AOR date is 25th April 2017. After submitting my application, I realized that my FBI PCC is dated as August 18th, 2016 (as I applied for it before receiving ITA) and so it's more than 6 months old. Now I am planning to apply for a new FBI PCC. But even if I apply today, it would take 12-14 weeks. So I need inputs regarding next steps,
1) Should I open a case request and submit an application letter with proof of new FBI PCC application ?
2) Should I wait for my new PCC results and then open a CRS to submit it.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

PCCs are valid for a year isn't it?
No, its valid only for 6 months
I think if you are outside of US it can still be used, if you have not been there since the last day it was issued.
I left US for a month (in January 2017) but came back. My FBI PCC was issued on August 2016. And Indian PCC from US on April 15, 2017.
