I filed SC-189 for 233512 Mechanical Engineer with 65 points. When can I expect an invitation. Seems like minimum points for recent draws have been 70 or higher. Thanks.

Hey guys, This is good news for people wanting to apply under the 189 points test visa for pro rata and non pro rata occupations (especially) as it means DIBP may raise the number of invitations per round to more than the current 1000 soon.... Happy Days :) Just thought I'd share this good news to reduce some stress. Hey, invitation round of July 26 was very atipycal, the cutoff points was 70. I guess that they were accepting a lot of computer science and accountants that were on hold due to the yearly quotas of these professions. How long it would take to start to invite candidates with 65 points?

I have 65 points and below are my details, i will be able to get invitation in August rounds? Initial 189 EOI submission date with 60 points = 23rd March 2017 Updated 189 EOI submission date with 65 points = 30th April 2017 Removed 190 from 189 EOI application, no change in points(65 point) = 19th May 2017 Analyst Programmer = 261311
