Date BGS in IP (1)(first time in progress date)

Could anyone tell me what BGS in IP(1) is? Mine changed to "We are processing your background check. We will send you a message if we need more information." today.

IP (1) is a check for criminality and/or EE eligibility check like work and travel history .
