Citizenship appointment invitation if residing outside Australia

Hi Forum members,

I had applied for citizenship last year in November and then moved overseas for time being. I am still residing overseas and wanted to know that will I get invitation for interview/citizenship test while I am residing overseas or do I only get the invitation once I am back in Australia?

Thanks in advance

Did you not notify the department of your overseas move? Your application cannot be decided when you are overseas, and if you are not resident in Australia you are not entitled to become a citizen.

Unless you are in Australia, you won’t receive an interview invitation.
