Adding new born baby

Hi, i am waiting for 489 visa grant. In the same time, new baby is born in Australia which was mention as pregnancy during application lodged. So, in that case how do i inform to DIBP and how do i add my baby in my immi account? What supporting document is needed beside birth certificate? As far i know, the passport will takes little more time. Please advise me who had gone through. Thanks.
on top of birth certificate, they would ask for a passport and they would also ask a baby to undergo a medical check as far as i can recall. It normally takes 4-12 weeks to finalize the case after your submit the docs.
Baby undergo medical exam that's so cruel
I applied for 489 and baby was born offshore , i uploaded form 1022 , baby's birth certificate and passport bio page (If you don't have pp yet upload 1022 and birth cert & inform co that you'll be uploading baby's pp as soon as you receive it ) under documents section of my name. Also sent an email to gsm.allocate email asking them to add my baby to my immi account and also asked them to issue me with hap id to do baby's medical. They added baby to my application in 14 days. Since your baby's born in Aus i am not sure if they'll request to do a medical, even if they ask for it, its just the 501 medical which is just a basic physical exam. no fee charged as baby was born & added after lodging the application and before it's decided.
Thanks trx for your respond. but i am still confusion regarding my new born baby adding in my because while i call to the immigration one of the staff asking me to fill the form 1436 instead 1022. so pretty confusion with this two form. Although I have already sent my case officer 1022 form with documents god knows when they respond and which one is right...so you mean i have to forward that email to gsm.allocate email too.. please let me know asap if yes. That will be the great help from your experience in this unknown world...and my baby is born in australia.
Upload all documents under your (primary applicants) document section and then send gsm.allocate an email. form 1022 is mandatory. You can upload form 1436 now if you want to be extra sure but this form was not required on their website under mandatory document to add a new born under adding a new born section. adding both forms won't do any harm as they'll just ignore the irrelevant form it is all good as long as you upload form 1022 , passport and bcert to your Immi account under documents list under your name (don't just email the documents to your co as co's can change). they won't reply to your email (most of the time). CO can even take 4 weeks to add a baby to an application. mine took 2 weeks.
